Islamabad, April 20 (KMS): The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, has urged India to see the Kashmir- upheaval of change from a pragmatic eye and the world powers to shun their wait and watch policy, as the people of Kashmir have sent their youth on the front row of mobilization, adopting a ‘do or die’ course of history for gaining freedom and the right of self-determination.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement issued in Srinagar said military adventurism based on ruthless state-power of India was no solution to the Kashmir-like situation in the 21st century of political awakening.

He paid highest tribute to those Kashmiris who bore the brunt of tyranny during the last few days of police attacks on peaceful protesters, showed determination before army thrashings, humiliations and pellet shootings as like a Pulwama youth and merciless shooting and killing of a helpless and innocent young boy Sajad Husain Sheikh at Batmalinah with a targeted fire on his forehead.

He hailed and praised the valor and sentiment of the school, college and university male and female students who rocked the entire valley in the last few days on roads peacefully due to police fire and injuries in hundreds to press their demand for a just and peaceful solution of the Kashmir dispute in line with the UN resolutions.

He expressed words of shame and pity for the rulers of the territory who despite all the tragedies fallen on Kashmir because of India’s rigidity and their selfishness hold chairs dear to their hearts and don’t like to resign from their posts. He said equally was responsible double standard of the world powers and UN for the Kashmir dispute.

He warned that the time was running short in South Asia with regard to Kashmir and enormities of the regime there. He urged the UN, European Union, OIC and other decision making bodies in the world to intervene in the situation of the disputed territory, because both India and Pakistan had filed to resolve the dispute bilaterally.

He argued that Indian regime’s mind was still romancing with 1940s environment, while the dark picture of Kashmir demanded an immediate end to blood-shed to pave way for an equitable and honorable solution according to the the right of self-determination.
