India has waged war: Mirwaiz

Srinagar, April 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, life remained paralyzed in Pulwama, Kulgam, Kupwara and other areas, today, due to shutdown against the Indian forces’ brutal actions on protesting students in the territory.

All shops and business establishments remained closed while roads wore a deserted look in all the three districts of Pulwama, Kulgam and Kupwara. In order to prevent widespread protests by students, the puppet regime ordered the closure of all universities, colleges and higher secondary schools in the Kashmir Valley, today. The Kashmir University postponed its examinations. Mobile and internet services of all cellular companies remained suspended on the second day, today. Over one hundred male and female students were injured, many critically in forces’ actions, yesterday. »

Indian police had arrested S Hamid Wani on April 18, 1998 in Soura area of Srinagar and killed him in custody.

Srinagar, April 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a Baramulla Court has extended the judicial remand of illegally detained senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML), Masarrat Aalam Butt, till April 27.

The JKML legal secretary, Shah Riyaz, told mediamen in Srinagar that Masarrat Aalam Butt was produced before a court in Baramulla which extended his judicial remand till 27th of this month. He said that the detained leader was booked in a false case registered against him in 2016. »

Baltimore (Maryland), April 18 (KMS): Secretary General of World Kashmir Awareness Forum, Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai, voiced his continuing belief that the conflict over Kashmir cannot be resolved through military means.

Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai speaking on the subject of Kashmir at the 42nd Annual Convention of ‘Islamic Circle of North America’ at Baltimore Convention Center said, Kashmir is a political issue and has to be resolved through political means by involving all parties to the conflict – the Governments of India and Pakistan and the genuine Kashmiri resistance leadership.
