Indian police arrest dozens of youth ahead of polls


Srinagar, April 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the people will observe Friday, tomorrow, as the Day of Pledge Reaffirmation, as part of the campaign for the boycott of sham Indian parliamentary elections in the territory.

Call for the observance of the day has been given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. As per the protest calendar issued by the leadership, complete shutdown will be held on April 9 & 12, in Islamabad and Srinagar constituencies where the farcical elections are scheduled to be held on these days. »

Srinagar, April 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabbir Ahmad Shah has reiterated his appeal for complete boycott of sham Indian parliamentary by-elections in the territory.

Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “These so-called elections will make everything clear; whether people love the martyrs or fall into the trap of those who kill and blind our children.” »

Srinagar, April 6 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested dozens of youth including cricketers in Pulwama, Islamabad and Badgam districts ahead of Indian farcical parliamentary elections in the territory.Indian police arrested eleven youth, who played a cricket match wearing Pakistani cricket team’s uniform in Gandarbal on April 2. The video shows boys singing the Pakistan’s national anthem ‘Pak Sar Zamin Shad Bad’ before the start of the game on the occasion. »

Srinagar, April 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the leaders of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) and Peoples’ Freedom League continued their election boycott campaign urging people to stay away from the sham elections.

The JKLF leaders, Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Zahoor Ahmad Butt, Javed Ahmad Butt, Muhammad Ishaaq Ganaie and others are running this campaign in south Kashmir while Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Muhammad Siddique Shah, Muhammad Hanif, Peer Abdul Rashid, Nazir Ahmad Hajam, Abul Hamid Malik, and Nisar Ahmad continued their door to door campaign in central Kashmir. »

The APHC spokesman in a statement criticizing India and its puppet regime for deployment of forces in educational institutions said, “Deploying forces in educational institutions is disregard for education system. Precious time of students is being wasted by authorities.” »

Srinagar, April 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has said that plebiscite under the auspices of the United Nations is the only solution to the Kashmir dispute.

The HCBA in a statement issued in Srinagar supported the by-election boycott call given by the resistance leadership. The Bar said, “Any participation of people in any election is misrepresented by India before the world community,” adding that New Delhi always tried to mislead the world by equating the holding of so-called elections in the territory to a kind of plebiscite acknowledged to the Kashmiris by the international community. »

Srinagar, April 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, former puppet Chief Minister and pro-India National Conference President, Farooq Abdullah has urged the United States to mediate between Pakistan and India to resolve the Kashmir dispute.

Farooq Abdullah during his election campaign in Srinagar criticized New Delhi for turning down the US offer to mediate. “The US wanted to mediate between India and Pakistan. But every time India says that ‘we are talking with Pakistan and we don’t need a mediator’. Now a lot of years have passed. Islamabad, April 06 (KMS): The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL), Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, has rejected the Indian parliamentary elections in Kashmir terming them as an exercise in futility.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement issued in Islamabad said whether parliamentary or assembly elections or any other farce in this name in the past could not heal serious physical and mental wounds inflicted on the Kashmiris through large-scale killings, imprisonments, or house arrests of the leaders under the Indian occupation. »

Islamabad, April 06 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyet Conference AJK chapter has condemned the arrest of Hurriyet leaders and activists during nocturnal raids on their houses by police ahead of sham parliamentary elections in occupied Kashmir.
