People urged to hold 2016-like protests on polling days

Srinagar, April 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik has announced protest programmes from Friday till next Wednesday to frustrate Indian Parliamentary election drama in the territory.

The leaders in their joint statement issued in Srinagar, today, said that coming Friday would be observed as the day for renewal of pledge, while support for resolutions of the joint resistance leadership would be sought after Friday prayers. »

4 children injured in teargas shell blast

Srinagar, April 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a physically challenged youth, who was beaten by Indian forces in October, last year, succumbed to his injuries at Soura in Srinagar.

The injured physically challenged youth, Mushtaq Kundoo, whose poverty-stricken family struggled to meet his medical expenses and their day-to-day necessities, died on Sunday. »

Srinagar, April 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Syed Ali Gilani has said that instead of accepting Kashmir as a disputed territory, India is hell-bent upon suppressing the Kashmiris’ struggle for freedom with its military might.

Syed Ali Gilani while commenting on Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s ‘tourism or terrorism’ remarks in a statement issued in Srinagar asked him not to compare Kashmir with Indian state of Gujarat. »

Srinagar, April 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyet forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that the people of Kashmir are neither against tourism nor supporters of terrorism but are fighting for a honourable resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

The forum’s statement came in response to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks he made at Udhampur while addressing a function on inauguration of a tunnel, asked the Kashmiri youth to “choose tourism over terrorism”. »

Srinagar, April 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front has condemned the police raid on the residence of its President for Badgam District and harassment of his family members.

The JKLF spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Indian police on the other night raided the residence of party’s President in Budgam, Gulzar Ahmad Pahalwan, and intimidated the inmates. »

Srinagar, April 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir (TeH) has strongly condemned the invoking of draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA), on its activists.

TeH in a statement issued in Srinagar said that its activists, Javaid Ahmed Phulley, Abdul Latif Dar and Farooq Ahmed Waggey were arrested during the mass uprising, last year, and were lodged in Kathua jail in Jammu after being booked under the PSA. It said that the High Court of the occupied territory quashed their detention under the black law and ordered their release. However, it said, the puppet administration once again booked them under the PSA and lodged them at Srinagar Central Jail. »

Srinagar, April 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM), today, visited SMHS Hospital in Srinagar and inquired about the health of pellet victims, Abdul Rasheed and Muhammad Irfan.

Abdul Rasheed and Muhammad Irfan were injured when Indian troops fired pellets on peaceful protesters at Panzan in Chadoora area of Badgam district, the other day. »

Srinagar, April 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the victim families from Kokernag area of Islamabad district have appealed the court not to grant the bail to Farooq Ahmed Padroo, former Indian army-backed killer of at least five innocent civilians in fake encounters for rewards and promotions.

Farooq Padroo is presently behind the bars. Families and neighbours of three fake encounter victims — Abdur Rehman Padder, a carpenter, Nazir Ahmed Daca, a perfumer and Ali Muhammad Padder, a cloth-seller — all residents of Kokernag assembled at Press Enclave in Srinagar and staged a protest appealing the court not to grant bail to the killer Farooq Padroo. »
