Srinagar, March 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a court has dismissed the stay order on the bail order of illegally detained senor APHC leader Masarrat Aalam Butt.

The Session Court of Bandipora had issued bail to the jailed leader last month; however, the authorities had challenged the same through a petition in the Session Court.

Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League leader Shah Riyaz told media men that the said court not only dismissed the petition but also retained the bail order issued by the CJM.

Advocate Shoab, who pleaded for Masarrat in Session Court Bandipora, said the rejection of petition has paved way for Masarrat’s release.

Masarrat Aalam is continuously behind bars since 2010 barring only forty days after he strongly spearheaded the then people’s mass uprising.
