Hurriyet leaders call for strike on Modi’s visit on Sunday

Srinagar, March 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, people staged massive anti-India demonstrations, today, while Indian police used brute force against the protesters, causing injuries to several persons.

Call for the demonstrations was given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik, against the recent killing of three innocent civilians by Indian forces’ personnel in Chadoora area of Badgam district. »

Srinagar, March 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Ummat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir, Qazi Ahmed Yasir and Hurriyet leaders including Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi led separate protest demonstrations after Friday prayers, today, in Islamabad and Srinagar against the rising civilian killings by Indian troops in the territory.

Qazi Ahmed Yasir after giving slip to the police officials who raided his house reached the Jamia Masjid, Islamabad to lead Friday prayers. The police officials had cordoned the mosque but Qazi Yasir along with many supporters led a protest march. »

Srinagar, March 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has urged the people to stay away from the forthcoming sham Indian Parliamentary by-polls as elections cannot resolve the lingering Kashmir dispute.

The JKLF leaders during their visits to various parts of the Valley today appealed to the people to stay away from the upcoming election drama. The party leaders held protests against killing of civilians in Chadoora and conducted poll boycott campaign at various places including Maisuma, Lal Chowk, South Kashmir and central Kashmir. »

Srinagar, March 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has denounced the continued house arrest of its Chairman, Shabbir Ahmad Shah.

The DFP General Secretary, Maulana Abdullah Tari in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Shabbir Ahmad was not even allowed to offer Friday prayers. He said that such undemocratic acts punctured the balloon of the so-called battle of ideas of the puppet authorities. He said that through such actions, the puppet administration had validated the point that there was no such thing as freedom of religion in the territory. »

Srinagar, March 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leaders including Advocate Devinder Singh Farooq Ahmed Tawheedi, Feroz Ahmad Khan and Kuljeet Sing today visited Regrett, Wathoora and Chadoora areas to pay rich tributes to Ashfaq Ahmad, Aamir Fayaz and Zahid Rashid who were recently killed by Indian troops in Chadoora area of Badgam.

Advocate Devinder Singh addressing the gatherings on the occasion appealed to the international community to come forward and help stop human rights violations in the occupied territory. »

Srinagar, March 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police personnel in their continued nocturnal raids in southern Kashmir have arrested several youth in Shopian district.

Reports said that the police arrested six people including two instead of their sons during the raids in Trenz area of the district on Thursday night. »

Srinagar, March 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet conference (APHC) has denounced the arrest spree and placing resistance leaders under house arrest or detention and termed it as an extreme type of state terrorism.

The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar said that it was martial law-like situation and since inception of PDP-led regime, the authorities were not allowing Hurriyet leaders to carry out their political activities. »

Srinagar, March 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the illegally detained Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, has paid rich tributes to noted martyred Kashmiri freedom leaders, Ashfaq Majeed Wani, Shabbir Sidiqui and Jaleel Andrabi, on their martyrdom anniversaries.

Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar recalled the struggle and sacrifices rendered by Ashfaq Majeed Wani and said that he was a symbol of courage, fearlessness, piety, passion and resistance against illegal occupation. He said that torture cells, jails and other methods of oppression could not deter Ashfaq Majeed Wani and he treaded firmly the path of freedom till his martyrdom. »

The All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leader, Nayeem Ahmad Khan in a statement in Srinagar paying homage to the marthred leaders said that these martyrs were legendaries of the soil who had a vision and worked for it throughout their lives. “Ashfaq Majeed Wani was a born revolutionary leader who worked day in and day out to organise Kashmiri youth in 1980s. He was ideologically so strong that being younger than other fellows he maintained his leadership till he attained martyrdom.” »

Srinagar, March 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a delegation of Mirwaiz-led Hurriyet forum visited the houses of three civilians who were killed in the indiscriminate firing of Indian forces on peaceful protesters in Chadoora area of Badgam and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families.

The civilians, Zahid Rasheed, Aamir Fayaz and Ashfaq Ahmad, were shot dead by the forces’ personnel in Chadoora on Tuesday.

The forum delegation comprising Advocate Sheikh Yasir Dalal, Peer Ghulam Nabi, Advocate Surat Shakeel, Muhammad Siddique paid tributes to the martyred civilians. »
