Curfew, curbs in valley to thwart Kulgam march

Srinagar, February 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities in their fresh crackdown operations arrested or put under house detention almost all resistance leaders to prevent them from leading a march towards south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, today.

Call for the march was given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik to express solidarity with the families of the youth who were martyr
ed by Indian forces on Sunday. Muhammad Yasin Malik was arrested by a police party that raided his Maisuma residence in Srinagar, this morning. He was lodged at Kothi Bagh police station. The occupation authorities put Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Qazi Yasir, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Omar Aadil, Firdous Ahmad Shah and other Hurriyet leaders under house arrest or in custody. »

Yaoum-e-Mazahmat, anti-India demos to be observed on Friday

Srinagar, February 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik has issued fresh protest calendar from tomorrow till 28th of February.

The leaders in a joint statement issued in Srinagar said that Resistance Day (Youme-e-Muzahamat) would be observed on Friday against the surge in killing of innocent youth by Indian troops. Peaceful protests will be held throughout the Valley after Friday prayers. They said that there will be no strike on this Friday. »

“Masarrat Aalam Butt Masarrat was produced in the Court of First Magistrate, Srinagar where a police party from Hajin came and took him along,” a JKML spokesman said in a statement issued in Srinagar.

The spokesman said, “Masarrat was, today, produced before a Court in Hajin which sent him on fifteen days fresh remand.” »

Srinagar, February 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the resistance leadership has condemned the suicide bomb attack in Lahore and expressed condolences over the loss of precious lives.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued Srinagar while expressing grief over the attack asked for isolating and bringing to book those responsible for the attack. “Pakistan is facing worst type of terrorism. The neighboring countries are instigating and promoting barbaric and heartless activities in Pakistan,” he added. »

Hurriyet leaders condemn restrictions

Srinagar, February 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian authorities have imposed curfew and other restrictions in parts of Kashmir including Srinagar and Kulgam districts to foil the today’s march towards Kulgam district.

Call for the march has been given by joint resistance leadership to protest against the killing of six local youth by Indian forces at Frisal in Kulgam on Sunday. Over 30 people were injured, many with pellets and bullets, during the ensuing clashes in the area. »

Ghulam Muhammad Bulla embraced martyrdom in police custody after he challenged the notorious Indira-Abdullah Accord in 1975.

APHC leader Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori while addressing a prayers’ meeting in Sopore said that Muhammad Maqbool Butt, Muhammad Afzal Guru and Ghulam Muhammad Bulla were icons of Kashmir freedom struggle. »
