Curfew, curbs imposed in Kulgam, Shopian

Srinagar, February 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, normal life was crippled by a complete shutdown, today, against the killings of Kashmiri youth by Indian troops in Frisal area of Kulgam district.

Call for the strike was given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik. All shops, commercial establishments, educational institutions, and petrol stations were closed while public transport was off the road in Srinagar and other parts of the Valley. The leadership has also called for a march towards Kulgam on Wednesday against the massacre of the innocent Kashmiri youth. »

Amritsar (India), February 13 (KMS): The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zafar Akbar Butt, while referring to Chati Singhpora incident, said that it was the handiwork of Indian agencies and a ploy to create differences between Sikh and Muslim communities.

Zafar Akbar Butt addressing a public gathering in Amritsar paid rich tributes to Gernail Singh Bindrawala and youth of Punjab on their struggle for self-determination. Srinagar, February 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leader Ghulam Mohammad Khan Sopori has paid rich tributes to prominent Kashmiri freedom fighter, Ghulam Muhammad Bulla, on his martyrdom anniversary.

Ghulam Mohammad Khan Sopori in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Ghulam Muhammad Bulla was a bold man and Indian police arrested him on February 14 in 1975 and subsequently martyred him by subjecting him to severe torture at an interrogation centre for raising his voice against Indra-Abdullah Accord. »

The Bar Association in a statement issued in Srinagar some civilians had lost their lives while dozens, who sustained grievous bullet and pellet injuries, were battling for life in various hospitals of Islamabad and Srinagar districts. »

Srinagar, February 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Aasiya Andrabi and her associate Sofi Fahmeeda were arrested, today, by the authorities and shifted to Rambagh Police Station.

Aasiya Andrabi was continuously under house arrest after her release from Baramulla sub jail on December 21 last year.
