Shutdown will be observed in IOK on 9th, 11th of February

Srinagar, February 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference has said that Kashmir is an internationally-accepted dispute and deferment of its resolution has made it a bone of contention between Pakistan and India and a constant threat to peace in the South Asian region.

The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar said it is because of the Kashmir dispute that India is investing a large amount of budget on arms and ammunitions, while the fact is that majority of Indians are forced to live a miserable life. The APHC condemned the Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s assertions that Jammu and Kashmir was always with India and would remain its part. The statement termed the remarks as egoistic and said that such rhetoric and parroting could not change the reality over the Kashmir dispute. The APHC said it is India that is creating impediments and hurdles in peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute, while Pakistan has always pleaded for its peaceful settlement. »

Srinagar, February 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, four persons were killed and five others injured after a passenger vehicle met an accident on Srinagar-Jammu Highway in Ramban district, today.

An official said that a vehicle, which was on its way to Jammu, plunged into a 500ft deep gorge and landed at the banks of Bishlari nallah near Digdol, 12 kilometers from Ramban, resulting into on spot death of three passengers. »

Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a statement issued in Srinagar said that people of Kashmir would observe complete shutdown on February 9 and 11, which mark the martyrdom anniversaries of these leaders. “We observe the February 9 and 11 as ‘Youm-e-Tajdeed-e-Ehad’ (Reaffirmation of the pledge) and we are committed to complete the mission of our revered martyrs,” he said. »

Srinagar, February 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an Indian soldier was killed and two others were injured when their bunker collapsed in Rajouri district.

The troops of Rashtriya Rifle were guarding a post at Jhanger in Nowshera area of the district when their bunker collapsed. One soldier was buried under the debris while two others had a narrow escape with injuries.

Body of the trapped army man was later recovered. He was identified as Naik Theru Pandey. »

New Delhi, February 07 (KMS): Much to the embarrassment of Indian armed forces, 59 commandos of Central Reserve Police Force have gone missing from a train just before they were to report for duty in Bihar as part of their first deployment.

The incident of mass desertion occurred at the Mughal Sarai Station when the commandos, on way from their training centre in Srinagar, the summer capital of occupied Kashmir, after their 5-week basic training, apparently decided to abandon their forward journey and desert en masse to go to their homes or some undisclosed location. »

Srinagar, February 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, it was on February 7, 2004, when Indian Army dragged civilians from houses in Chithabandi area of Bandipora and showered bullets on them.

Residents of the area said that fifteen people were used as human shield during the carnage. In February 2004, during the four-day-long crackdown, Indian army killed 5 villagers and injured over a dozen by showering bullets on the villagers it used as human shield during a clash with Mujahideen. »

Srinagar, February 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a delegation of Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir and the All Parties Hurriyet Conference leaders visited the families of martyred youth Azharuddin and Sajjad Ahmad Lone in Sopore and Kupwara and expressed solidarity with them.

The delegation comprised Hafiz Bashir Ahmad Farooqi, Zahoorul Haq Gilani and Nazir Ahmad. The delegates condemned Indian brutalities and said that India would not be able to suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom movement through brutal tactics. »

Srinagar, February 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League has strongly condemned the arrest spree unleashed by puppet administration saying that Indian police and paramilitary forces have created havoc in Boogam area of Kulgam district.

Mukhtar Ahmad Waza while addressing a public gathering at Sheedchowk in Boogam, today, said that a sense of insecurity prevailing among innocent youth as a result of nocturnal raids by police and other forces. Waza added that through these harsh measures the puppet rulers wanted to defeat people’s will but such measures could not crush the freedom sentiments of the people. »

Islamabad, February 07 (KMS): Hurriyet leader, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, has been appointed as the Convener of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter of Hurriyet forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.

He has replaced Mir Tahir Masood.
