Indian police arrest Yasin Malik in Shopian
Srinagar, November 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, seven Indian troops including a Major were killed and nine others were injured in two separate attacks in Jammu region, today.

Seven troops were killed and three others were wounded after gunmen attacked Indian Army’s 166 field regiment camp in Nagrota area of Jammu. The Deputy Inspector General of Border Security Force along with five other personnel was injured in an attack in Ramgarh area of Samba district in Jammu. Indian army has claimed of killing seven attackers in these areas.

On the other hand, Indian police arrested the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, today. A JKLF spokesman in a statement said that Yasin Malik was arrested outside the Jamia Masjid Shopian when he came out of the mosque after offering afternoon prayers. He said that Yasin Malik had reached Shopian late last night and met a pellet victim, Insha Mushtaq. The 14-year-old Insha Mushtaq had lost eyesight in both eyes after Indian troops fired pellets on her when she was standing in the window of her house on 12th July, 2016. »

Srinagar, November 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, today.

A JKLF spokesman in a statement in Srinagar said that Yasin Malik was arrested outside the Jamia Masjid Shopian when he came out of the mosque after offering afternoon prayers.

Muhammad Yasin Malik reached Shopian around midnight and visited the family of pellet victim, Insha Mushtaq. »

Doctors at SMHS Hospital in Srinagar as well as outside the Valley are still unsure of what caused the pellet-hit eyes to burn and crumple from inside after the injury. »

Srinagar, November 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference has strongly criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assertions in which he tried to falsely link the participation of students in the ongoing examinations with belief in the so-called development mantra.

The APHC in a statement in Srinagar said education has been the prime concern of the Kashmiri society and all parents want to give their children the best possible education, even at the cost of their own comforts. “No one can afford to keep his children away from the glory of education, which not only should help them to earn their livelihood but enlighten their mind and soul as well, enabling them to know the creature and the Creator,” it said. »

Srinagar, November 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Tehreek-e-Hurriyet (TeH) Jammu Kashmir has condemned the arrest spree unleashed by the puppet authorities saying that these arbitrary arrests, intimidation and night raids could not deter the Kashmiri people from pursuing their struggle for right to self-determination.

The TeH while denouncing the detention of its leaders including Imtiyaz Ahmad Sofi, Fayaz Ahmad Mir and Raja Malik in a statement in Srinagar said that all its office bearers and activists believed in peaceful struggle and there was no justification for declaring them as offenders. »

Srinagar, November 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, three Indian soldiers including an officer were killed and four others were injured in two separate attacks in Jammu region, this morning.

Some unknown gunmen attacked the 166 field regiment camp in Nagrota area of Jammu, killing three Indian soldiers including a junior commissioned officer and injuring three others. Heavy exchange of fire between the attackers and Indian forces’ personnel was going on when reports last came in. »
