Muhammad Yasin Malik addressing a condolence-cum prayer meeting today at party’s headquarters in Srinagar said that Sheikh Abdul Hameed Shaheed and his companions embraced martyrdom and spilled their sacred blood into the waters of Jhelum, turned it red and thus wrote a new chapter of sacrifices and struggle. He reaffirmed the Kashmiris’ resolve to take their martyrs’ mission to its logical end. »

Srinagar, November 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, pro-freedom leaders and organisations have thanked the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for supporting the Kashmir cause.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan in his address to the joint session of Pakistan Parliament recently had expressed serious concern over the distress and sufferings of the people of occupied Kashmir. He had also asked the international community to use its influence for resolving the Kashmir dispute through peaceful dialogue process. »

Srinagar, November 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Haji Habibullah, father of the spokesman of Jamaat-e-Islami, Advocate Zahid Ali, died on Friday evening. He was 96.

Advocate Zahid Ali, who was denied bail several times by the authorities, was released after the news about his father’s death spread.

Haji Habibullah worked as a government teacher. He is survived by wife, three sons and two daughters. »

Srinagar, November 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred one Kashmiri youth in Pulwama district, today.

The troops killed the youth during a siege and search operation in Kakapora area of the district. The operation was going on till reports last came in.

Glowing tributes paid to martyrs of Aali Kadal

According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar said that locking the grand mosque of the Valley for so long was a shameful and atrocious act of the so-called rulers who claimed to be Muslims. It said that these yes-men of India had sold out their faith and self-esteem long back and it was useless to pin hopes on these traitors for any good. »

Srinagar, November 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leaders, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Farooq Ahmad Tauheedi and Shakeel Ahmad Butt have expressed grief and sorrow over the death of an elderly man from Elahi Bagh area of Srinagar, Ghulam Muhammad Khan, due to pellet injuries and said that killing of the old man is a blot on the so-called Indian democracy.

Nayeem Ahmad Khan in a statement issued in Srinagar deplored that Kashmiris of all ages were being killed by the Indian men in uniform only because they were demanding their birthright to self-determination. »

Srinagar, November 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, 17-year-old Musaib Majeed Nagoo was to appear in 12 class exams but fell to deadly pellets in September this year.

Musaib Majeed Nagoo was martyred after Indian forces fired pellets on peaceful protesters in the frontier village of Langate on September 4, 2016. He was hit on his head by the pellets and later succumbed to his injuries at SMHS hospital in Srinagar.

Two months have passed since his killing, however, his family members are yet to come at terms with life. The commencement of class 12 exams from November 14 once again renewed their pain and agony. “He used to go for private tuitions before and after school,” recalls Shahnaza Bano, mother of Musaib. »

Srinagar, November 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court has quashed the illegal detention of a social and human rights activist, Advocate Hassan Babur, who was booked under black law, Public Safety Act (PSA).

Advocate Hassan Babur, a leader of Anjuman-e-Islamia in Doda, was arrested for organizing demonstrations in the area against the civilian killings by Indian forces in the Kashmir Valley during the ongoing uprising.

The detention order of Hassan Babur was passed by District Magistrate Doda on August 14. He was arrested on August 27 and kept in Kot Bhalwal jail in Jammu. »

Srinagar, November 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, while BJP and RSS are hell bent upon destroying the age-old communal harmony in the territory, Muslims on Friday upheld the communal accord by helping to perform last rites of a Pandit woman at Karfali Mohalla in Srinagar.

The Pandit woman, Sushma Parimoo (40), breathed her last on Friday.

Mubarak Ahmad, a local, said that Sushma had suffered brain hemorrhage on Monday after which she was rushed to a hospital by her family accompanied by neighbours but succumbed in the hospital. Arrangements for her last rites were made by the local Mohalla Committee, he said. »

Srinagar, November 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, after losing vision in his right eye due to pellets, Shafqat Khan – a 12th class student from Langate area of Kupwara – hardly had any hopes of appearing in exams.

Shafqat Khan, however, with blurred vision and hopeless future as it seemed some days back, fought all odds and with one pen and an admit card in his hands started his journey towards his exam centre at Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GHSS) in Handwara.

When all his friends were preparing for exams, Shafqat was undergoing treatment in Srinagar hospital and returned a day before his exams were scheduled to commence. »
