The calendar includes Yaumi Istaqlal on Friday and a March towards Lalchowk in Srinagar on Monday.

EU week on Kashmir under way in Brussels

Srinagar, November 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik have said that the resistance leaders are committed to taking the ongoing freedom movement to its logical conclusion, through thick and thin.

The resistance leaders while talking to media persons at Syed Ali Gilani’s Hyderpora residence in Srinagar said that the movement would be advanced in the light of suggestions and proposals that came from the representatives of different segments of society. They appealed to the people to foil Indian designs of creating dissension in their ranks. »

EU urged to help oppressed Kashmiris secure birth right

Brussels, November 09 (KMS): Speakers of a conference at European Parliament called the Kashmiri diaspora based in different parts of the world to increase worldwide awareness to help oppressed people of occupied Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, a conference titled, “The Struggle of Kashmiri Diaspora: Constraints and Resources” held under chair of EU Member parliament Afzal Khan on the second day of Kashmir EU-Week at European Parliament in Brussels. »

Srinagar, November 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, six houses were gutted in a blaze in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, on Tuesday evening.

A massive fire engulfed the houses in Hyder Mohalla of Khawaja Bagh area of the district.

Fire tenders couldn’t reach at the spot immediately, due to which fire couldn’t be controlled. »

Srinagar, November 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, many people were injured when Indian armed forces’ personnel used brute force on protesters in Bandipora and Pulwama districts, today.

Clashes erupted in Kaloosa area of Bandipora district against nocturnal raids by forces in the area. One among the arrested persons was identified as elderly Ghulam Nabi Ganai. The arrests led to anti-India protests in the district. »

The body of Zakir Hussain Badoo, resident of Mehmoodpora, Pattan, was recovered from the outskirts of his village, this morning, police said. »

Stakeholders give resistance leadership full mandate

Srinagar, November 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the joint resistance leadership has said that the pro-freedom programs issued by them would continue saying they have been given full mandate by stakeholders to continue the ongoing movement for freedom.

A joint statement issued in Srinagar said that a meeting of different organizations and associations convened by the joint resistance leadership, comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik was held at Hyderpora in Srinagar on Tuesday. Stakeholders from all walks of life participated in the meeting with enthusiasm and fervor. »

New Delhi, November 09 (KMS): Indian government should hold talks with all stakeholders in Jammu and Kashmir including Hurriyet leaders at the earliest besides taking other measures including ban on the use of pellet guns and rehabilitation package for those injured during the uprising, said a report by an Indian group after visiting Jammu and Kashmir.

The delegation that was led by BJP leader Yashwant Sinha and which comprised intellectuals, released the report to the media and spoke about the nature of meetings it held with Hurriyet leaders. The report was released by Programme Director of Centre for Dialogue and Reconciliation, Sushobha Barve, who was part of the delegation. »
