The struggle of Kashmiries is not for any economic benefit or packages but for determining the future of millions of Kashmiris. So-called rulers are pushing Kashmiri youth to the wall by persistently and continuously chocking them, stated in a joint resistance leadership meeting held at Hyderpora today. The meeting was attended by veteran leader Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. Various issues regarding the freedom struggle and current peoples resistance was discussed threadbare during the meeting. It was asserted that the struggle for freedom is not meant for any economic gains or packages but for the determination of future of millions of humans living in Jammu Kashmir. »

In the first week of November in 1947, hundreds of thousands of Kashmiris were killed by the forces of Maharaja Hari Singh, Indian army and Hindu extremists in different parts of Jammu region.

The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar described the carnage of Jammu Muslim in 1947 as the blackest chapter of the history of Kashmir. Thousands attend funeral of martyred youth in Shopian

Srinagar, November 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the authorities imposed curfew like restrictions in Srinagar and other parts of the territory to prevent marches, seminars, gatherings and student meetings on the anniversary of massacre of Jammu Muslims, carried out by Hindu fascist forces in the first week of November 1947.

Hundreds of thousands of Kashmiris were killed by the forces of Maharaja Hari Singh, Indian army and Hindu extremists in different parts of Jammu region while they were migrating to Pakistan. The joint Hurriyet leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik had announced the programmes to memorize the martyrs.

These leaders in their statements in Srinagar said that the November 1947 massacre was a brazen and most barbaric incident in the history of human kind. They termed the recent armed rallies of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in Jammu region as growing threat of fascism to the Muslims of the region. Syed Ali Gilani said that all the areas of Jammu region witnessed the ugliest and most brutal human carnage. »

AJK APHCIslamabad, November 06 (KMS): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (AJK-APHC) held a meeting in Islamabad, today, with Convener Ghulam Mohammad Safi in chair to remember the Jammu Martyrs of November 1947.

Paying glowing tributes to the martyrs in the meeting, the speakers said that in the first week of November in 1947, the Indian forces and Hindu extremists had massacred the Jammu Muslims under a pre-planned conspiracy. They said that the Muslims were killed for their love with Pakistan, adding that the fascist forces started a killing spree in 1947 which was still going on. »

The Jamaat-e-Islami in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “The PDP led dispensation has given a free hand to its ferocious forces in Kashmir who have unleashed a reign of terror upon unarmed people. Brussels, November 06 (KMS): Kashmir Council EU (KC-EU) is all set to launch the week-long event of “Kashmir EU-Week” at European Parliament in Brussels tomorrow (Monday). The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir (AJK), Raja Farooq Haider will inaugurate the event at the European headquarters.

The Kashmir EU-Week’s programmes comprising international conferences, seminars, debates, workshops, video casting of a documentary and a photos and a handicraft exhibition on Kashmir would be held from 7th to 11th November in capital city of Belgium. »

Recalling the sacrifices rendered by Muslims of Jammu in 1947, Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement in Srinagar said, “November 6, 1947, represents the blackest day of human history when lakhs of Jammu Muslims, driven out of their homes were butchered by communal fascist forces patronized by rulers of that time. The Jammu massacre 1947 reminds us the brutal and criminal face of fascism and the criminal silence of international community on these kinds of massacres exposes its duplicity and double standards.” »

Srinagar, November 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the mother of the slain 16-year-old boy, Qaiser Hameed Sofi, who breathed last yesterday, has said that her son while on way to hospital told her that police at Harwan poisoned him before subjecting him to ruthless torturing.

As the women beat their chest and sing eulogies to mourn the killing of Qaiser Hameed Sofi, a thud from outside makes everyone silent. The wailing women, who are coughing their lungs out, bury their heads in their chest to escape the pungent smell of the PAVA shell. »
