ISLAMABAD,Aug 30 (Daily Times) :Condemning human rights violations in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK), legislators on Monday demanded the United Nations take notice and play an active role in resolving the decades-old dispute as per the wishes of the Kashmiri people. The UN should implement its own resolution in Indian Occupied Kashmir and also salvage the region and entire world and prevent war between two atomic power states, Pakistan and India, observed senators in Senate Standing Committee on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan.
Professor Sajid Mir chaired the committee. Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and GB Barjees Tahir apprised the committee that League of Nations failed to stop the Second World War and if the UN also could not resolve the Kashmir dispute, it would be conceived as a failed organization.
