Srinagar, July 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, terming the revocation of order of transferring Kashmiris’ land to non-state subjects as 1st major dent to occupation authorities, the experts have said that it is for the first time that the Indian government and the puppet administration have been forced to cancel an order issued in the territory.
Advocate Imtiyaz Mir said that the decision is the real victory of the people of the occupied territory. He pointed out that the current uprising is the resentment of Kashmiris against Indian illegal occupation adding that it would never end until the Kashmir dispute is resolved. Mir said that widespread protests in valley also demarcate that economic packages and normalcy were not lasting solutions of the dispute.
Dr Sheikh Showket Hussain, an erudite on Kashmir politics, said it was first time that India and its stooges succumbed to the public pressure and revoked the land transfer deal. “It has given a new experience to Kashmiris and infused confidence among them,’ Hussain said. “This confidence if used properly can be utilised for scrapping of draconian laws. It would also help in demilitarisation of Jammu and Kashmir.” He added that the youth were the main force during the ongoing protests. “This indicates that new generation has assumed the custodianship of aspirations of Kashmiri people,” Hussain said.
Gul Wani, political economist, said that the participation of the masses in the agitation against the land transfer demonstrate affection of the people for their motherland and identity.
