Srinagar, July 04 (KMS): The Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir (JI) has strongly condemned the Hindu extremist organizations’ attempts to flare up communal hatred and create anti-Muslim atmosphere in the Jammu region.

A JI spokesman in a statement in Srinagar said that during the recent public uprising against the transfer of Kashmiris’ land to non-Kashmiris the Muslims of Kashmir treated the Amarnath yatris as their guests and spared no efforts in providing them protection. Contrary to that, he added, the Bharatiya Janata Party, Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad spared no efforts in spewing venom against Kashmiri Muslims to mislead the world. “They even threatened of stopping supply line and disrupting Haj pilgrimage,” the spokesman said.

The spokesman appealed to the people of the occupied territory to stay calm and maintain communal harmony at all costs to defeat the nefarious designs of Hindu fanatics.
