    Srinagar, January 26 (KMS): Complete strike was observed in occupied Kashmir as Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and across the world marked India’s Republic Day, today, as Black Day.

    The day was observed to convey to the international community that India’s continued denial of Kashmiris’ right to self-determination belied its claim of being a democratic republic.

    Srinagar, January 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete strike will be observed to mark the India’s Republic Day, as Black Day, tomorrow, to remind the international community that India’s claim of being a democratic republic was totally misleading as it had denied the people of Kashmir their inalienable right to self-determination.

    Call for the observance of the Day has been given by the All Parties Hurriyet Conference, veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, JKLF Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, the High Court Bar Association and other pro-liberation leaders and organisations.

    Srinagar, January 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, several people were injured when Indian police used brute force against peaceful protesters in Srinagar, today.

    The police resorted to baton charge to disperse a procession led by the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, while it was heading towards the Lal Chowk from Gaw Kadal Bridge. Clashes between police personnel and the protesters were witnessed in Gaw Kadal, Maisuma, Residency Road and other areas. Later, the police personnel barged into the residential houses and beat up the inmates without any provocation.
