Srinagar April 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their fresh acts of state terrorism, martyred two more innocent Kashmiri youth in Kupwara and Pulwama districts.

Indian troops of 47-battalion of Rashtriya Rifles during violent military operations killed one youth at Chorkhan Nallah in Kupwara district, while Shabbir Ahmad Butt was shot dead by 55-battalion of Rashtriya Rifles at Peer Mohalla in Pulwama district.

Solution of Kashmir imperative for security in SA

Srinagar April 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, addressing a public gathering in Rainawari, Srinagar, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said that the solution of Kashmir dispute in accordance with Kashmiris’ aspirations was imperative for peace and security in South Asia. He urged India to shun its intransigence and adopt a realistic approach to resolve the dispute.

Troops occupying 30 hotels in IHK

Srinagar, April 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, asking troops to vacate their hotels, the hoteliers whose properties are under the occupation of troops, claimed that the government has vandalised their hotels and withheld their rent amounting to Rs 20 crore.

Ghulam Muhammad, the owner of two hotels in Srinagar told mediapersons that troops have converted his hotels into barracks and they have destroyed electric fittings, geysers, furnishings and bathrooms adding that twenty troopers were living in one bedroom meant for two persons only.

AFAD asks India to investigate unmarked graves

Srinagar April 13 (KMS): Asian Federation Against Involuntary Disappearances (AFAD) has joined the Amnesty International asking Indian government to launch an investigation into the truth behind enforced disappearances in occupied Kashmir, especially after reports of mass graves in Baramulla.

The Chairman of AFAD, Mugiyanto and the Secretary General, Mary Aileen D. Bacalso, in a statement issued in Manila, said that the discovery of the graves is a cause for alarm and a concrete basis for urgent action by the Indian government.

Mother of a Kashmiri detainee mulls suicide

Srinagar, April 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, life took an ugly turn for aged Shahmala of Marhama, Kupwara when her son, Fayaz Ahmad, a shawl vendor was arrested by Delhi Police and implicated in a false case last year. 

Though the Jammu and Kashmir Police have given a clean chit to Fayaz, lone breadwinner of his family, the youth continues to languish in Tihar jail. Shahmala saw her son for the last time when he went outside the Valley for selling shawls on January 11, 2007.

Kashmiris paying for Sheikh Abdullah’s follies: Shabbir Shah

Srinagar, April 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Shabbir Ahmed Shah has said that Kashmiris have been suffering because of former puppet Chief Minister, Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah’s follies who entered into an accord with India in 1975.

The APHC leader, while inaugurating Hurriyet’s district office at Kulgam, said that New Delhi had not fulfilled its promises made to the people of Kashmir, which resulted in the killing of five-lakh Kashmiris.
