The meeting held in London on Wednesday, was chaired by Irish member of the European Parliament and Chairman of working group on Kashmir John Cushnan and attended by Professor Nazir Ahmad Shawl, Senator Mushahid Hussain, Zulfiqar Ali, Tahir Aziz, Andy Carl, Zafar Khan and Harsh Mander. KASHMIRI WIDOW MOVES PILLAR TO POST IN SEARCH OF HER SONSrinagar, April 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the mother of Mohammad Ayub Khan, who was picked up by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Karihama village of Kupwara in early 1990’s, has been moving pillar to post in search of her son. Mahtaba, the mother of disappeared youth told mediamen here that her son was picked up by the Border Security Force (BSF) along with a group of youth. “While the others were later released after two, three, four and eight years, my son was held back,” she said. INDIAN ARMY INVOLVED IN FUEL PILFERAGE IN IHKJammu, April 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of litres of petrol and kerosene oil are pilfered from Indian Army supplies in Kashmir Valley. The fuel meant for Indian troops deployed in the occupied territory is sold in black market by a well organized racket, a senior police officer told media men in Jammu, adding that over 20 cases related to theft of army petrol had been registered in the past four months. “At least 20 cases have been registered regarding pilferage of army supplies,” the official said. APHC LEADERS HOUSE ARRESTED IN SRINAGARSrinagar, April 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, leaders of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference have been house arrested to prevent them from submitting a memorandum at United Nations observers’ Group at Sonawar. APHC leaders Zafar Akber Butt and Javed Ahmed Mir had to present a memorandum to project the plight of the relatives of disappeared persons and the recent discovery of unidentified graves in Baramulla district. According to Kashmir Media Service, shops and other business establishments were closed. The protestors blocked the Srinagar-Leh highway and staged a protest demonstration at Kangan Chowk. Meanwhile, the police guard deployed in the University of Kashmir manhandled a news reporter when he was performing his professional duty. According to Kashmir Media Service, work in the High Court Jammu and all its subordinate courts remained paralyzed due to the strike call given by the Bar Association Jammu against the assault of a lawyer at Bagh-e-Bahu area.
